Special edition chawan mushi bowl featuring choju-giga (鳥獣戯画) - a famous set of painted scrolls belonging to the kozan-ji (高山寺) temple in Kyoto, Japan. The chawan features the iconic and lively depiction of frolicking traditional Japanese folklore animals (monkey, rabbit, and tortois) drawn in linear monochrome and is credited as the oldest work of the modern day manga. These versatile cups with lid are perfect for chawan mushi, steamed egg custards/ other steamed dishes or as a teacup.
